Workshops

Dia de los Muertos Atlantic Canada is excited to invite our community to join us in educational workshops that delve into this Mexican celebration, distinguished as an intangible heritage of humanity by UNESCO. It's an opportunity to engage with professional artists from New Brunswick, where you can delve into their creative processes and listen to their stories about this enchanting celebration.

Our workshops offer a diverse array of art forms for everyone to explore, including clay, the craft of traditional sugar skulls, the art of papel picado (a traditional decoration in our celebration), painting, embroidery, and more!

We extend our gratitude to our community partners for their wonderful collaboration in making this festival an engaging and enriching experience that celebrates art, culture, and community.

In Support of the Arts

The workshops are divided in three sections

This beautiful series of workshops is made possible and free for our community thanks to the incredible support of our partners: YMCA Newcomer Connections, MAS Multicultural Association of Sussex, and AX: The Arts & Culture Centre of Sussex.

Together, we are uniting in tradition, creating spaces where we can celebrate, share, and honour the richness of our diverse cultures. Join us as we come together to learn, create, and connect—building stronger bonds within our community through art and tradition.
